About me

Gary Today

I grew up in Fresno, CA 1947-1970.  I studied Art in high school and at Fresno State College.  Earned a secondary teaching credential and began a 35 year dream career working in Ventura schools, teaching Art, mostly to middle school kids. 1970 – 2005

Since 2005 I’ve volunteered with two local non-profit organizations, the Citizens for the Bluffs where I wrote grant requests to raise money for the purchase of Bluffs 2.  I have been on the board of the Carpinteria Arts Center in many capacities.  I’m currently co-chair of the Site Development committee and co-chair of the Program Committee.  I served as Gallery chair for several years and I was board chair from 2004 – 2008.  It has been a delight working with the generous people on both of these boards.
